Karmin broke into the music scene and overwhelmed the blog-a-sphere when a you tube cover of Chris Browns "Look at me Now" rapped by Amy Heidman went viral. Heidmas vocal dexterity is impressive; she raps like a pro contrary to her image. Heidman, a Home girl from the parries (Nebraska), steezed out in an early Hollywood persona is the personification of the unexpected. Nick Noonan in contrast is the charismatic key board player with perfect pitch who manages to keep the key and rythem constant regardless of the energy fluctuations.

LSTN:Dragonette
There are very few activities that I despise more than driving. I find long drives painfully boring. There is not much mental or physical stimulation that happens behind the wheel. Music is my saving grace for long drives. For road trips I crave poppy sing a longs and energetic beats. On my drive back to Alberta from Spokane Washington I had Dragonette on repeat.
I have been a fan of the Canadian band Dragonette since 2006. Their music is extra poppy with an ironic twist. The band produces up beat jams; with a hint of depth. The lead singer Martina Sorbara has the perfect pop vocal voice and can hit the sharp notes without fail. Martina Sorbara is the vocal hype behind Martin Solveig's hit songs. Dragonette always delivers; their songs have an emotional pull that makes them perfect anthem songs.
Easy one of my all time favorite tracks!
And the new Video for Let It Go.
Dragonette's new single Let It Go, is summer 2012. Easy, fun, and on the verge of something great.
Check out Dragonette, and ad the band to your workout or road trip play list.

List: Santigold
Santigold (Formerly known as Santogold) is BACK! And dropping mad dance inspired beats on her sophomore album, "Master of My Make Believe."
Santi White is Santigold, and American alternative pop singer, producer, and songwriter. "Master of My Make Believe," was released May 1st 2012 and is the follow up album to "Santogold." The album picks up on the hype and mystic elements presented in Santogold. Santi White describes the album as: "sonically electric, but with some epic curve balls thrown in. I wanted the album to be about creating your own reality."
Santigolds music video for her single: "Disparate Youth" off of her new album "Master of My Universe."
Santigold is the brilliance behind such pop hits as Ashlee Simpson's "Outta My Head," and Lilly Allen's, "Littlest Things. Santigold has been compared to MIA in the past- I think the comparison is unfair as Santi Whites musical ability, evolution, and ability to vocally explore the different universes of conflicting musical genres far surpasses that of MIA. MIA, is a talented artist who helped paved the way for a new wave of American Pop songstresses who are inspired by multicultural urban life.
Santigolds tracks are poppy- Fun to listen too, and motivating to workout too. If you listen to the lyrics their depth camflouged between the bust a move beats.
Check her out!

LSTN: Lana Del Rey
Del Rey's voice, is deep and textured and her lyrics are written in a modern classical prose style. The album is diverse; complete with jazzy up beat tunes and with intimate ballads. I love it.
Elizabeth Grant, AKA, Lana Del Rey crafted her stage for purpose and aninimity. The name is inspired by the glamour and destruction found at the seaside. Del Rey wanted a name that she could use as tool to shape her music.
Lana Del Rey signed with Interscope records, and Polydor in October 2011. Around the same time she released her debut single, "Video Games," online. The response to the song was overwhelming. Lana Del Rey's album, "Born to Die," is incredible. I have it on repeat constantly...and it makes a great TAM mat workout soundtrack.
Check out the Video for, "Video Games."
